CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va.—
A Forest man died in a car accident Tuesday night in Campbell County.
59-year-old Jerry Payne was killed when his SUV went off Route 683 and hit a tree, and then flipped.
The accident happened around 8:30 p.m., less than a mile north of Route 691. Payne was pronounced dead before he could be taken to the hospital.
No other cars were involved in the accident.
