ROANOKE, Va—

Virginia's average is now at $3.60 a gallon. That average is holding steady from last week, just like the price in the Roanoke area, where the average is at $3.57.
Analysts expect gas prices to fall for the rest of the year. And, there's good news on the horizon for prices in 2013. The U.S. Energy Information Administration forecasts the average price of gas will be lower overall next year, compared to what drivers have been paying the past two years. What's that mean? AAA says the national average should be aroud $3.44 a gallon, compared to the average price of $3.65 this year, and $3.53 in 2011.
