Both men are fighting tooth and nail for this senate seat.
The debate went back and forth, but many people say it helped them decide who they want as their senator.
The debate covered some of the hot topics of this election season: the deficit, medicare and social security.
Both men laid out their plans but spent a lot of time attacking each other.
George Allen called Kaine quote "President Obama's Senator, not Virginia's."
While Kaine accused Allen of playing chicken with the economy.

By far people we spoke with said Tim Kaine, even George Allen supporters gave Kaine the win.
Both Allen and Kaine have raised and spent millions of dollars on their campaigns.
