Students who attend Giles High School have an unexpected day off.

Police are investigating a break-in at the high school on Wenonah Avenue that happened sometime before 4:30 a.m. Tuesday. School officials say the damage was extensive and was contained to the main office.
A custodian discovered the damage, called the principal, and soon police were on site. School officials decided it was best to cancel classes for the day so investigators could work.

We're told some things might have been stolen from the office. No computers were destroyed.

The superintendent said teachers have come to work Tuesday and are helping figure out what happened.

"See if they've noticed anything or heard anything, that type of thing, so hopefully we'll be in good shape tomorrow. But again, we'll have to pay attention to the weather to see what we're able to do tomorrow,” Giles County Superintendent Dr. Terry Arbogast said.

No one has been arrested, but the school did have surveillance cameras rolling Monday night and two suspects were reportedly caught on tape.
