Gingerbread man's raising money to help homeless

After countless hours of baking, about a dozen women came together Saturday morning to decorate gingerbread cookies.

The cookies will be sold at the children’s musical “Christmas Cookies” at the Taubman Museum of Art in December.

One-hundred percent of the money raised will go towards the Roanoke City Rescue Mission.

Organizer Pat Grisetti says the need at the Rescue Mission grows every day. "They need coats for the cold weather and this time of year is perfect because cold weather's hitting and these families need our help," said Grisetti.
