A group in Danville is packing up more than 100 thousand pounds of equipment, clothes and food in four tractor trailers to ease the trauma in the gulf.
God's Pit Crew is taking every piece of equipment they have to help dig out or rebuild towns in Louisiana and Mississippi.
Today volunteers were loading up trucks and packing bottled water and personal hygiene products.
The group is planning to leave tomorrow morning.
"One of the houses we helped rebuild back there after Katrina was now sitting under water and the entire neighbor where it was at which is - and that Plaquemine's Parish area is totally submerged," said Randy Johnson, executive director of God's Pit Crew.
Johnson says this trip with cost more than 4,000 dollars in gas. The organization has already sent out 350 thousand pounds of product this year.
He's says the group needs donations to help with future trips.
