About 15 people found out this week they're losing their job at a Roanoke furniture store.
Havertys confirmed it will close as of May 31st. A company spokeswoman say the lease price on the property, near Valley View Mall was going up. She wouldn't say if the store was performing poorly, only that the company had to look at the bigger picture. The company told WDBJ7, employees have been offered positions at other Haverty's stores, though this was the only location in Roanoke.
Havertys also closed a store in Florida this week. The company say it hasn't made public what other locations could be in jeopardy.
