Ferrum College's Blue Ridge Dinner Theatre is celebrating its 32nd season with a one of a kind musical all next week.
BRDT's Executive Director, Jody Brown, says its adaptation of Heidi is designed with the family in mind.
The literary favorite's latest adaptation takes the tale from the Swiss Alps to the Blue Ridge Mountains, with Emily Rose Tucker providing original music.
The Blue Ridge Dinner Theatre has been able to keep the classic simplicity of the story remains unchanged.
There are more than 30 people taking part in this play, and several adaptations have been put in place to give the literary favorite a local spin.
Heidi will preview on August 2 at 7:30 p.m. and will run through Saturday, August 6. Folks that want to enjoy the performance on Saturday can enjoy a meal 1 hour before the show.
All performances will be held at Sale Theatre in Schoolfield Hall on the campus of Ferrum College.
Tickets are going fast though; the theatre is sold out of all tickets for Wednesday's performances.
