The Alexander Black House was built in 1897 by desendents of the Black family.
Plans are in the works to turn the Victorian house into a cultural center and museum. A $2-million fundraising campaign is underway, but more money is needed.
Museum officials entered the house into a contest by Dwell Magazine and Sub-Zero. Top prize for the winning project, is $10,000.
"It's a beautiful building," explained Terry Nicholson, the Blacksburg Museum Administrator. "It will be Victorian colors, a dark green and maroon color. It will have the tower back in place, again a very Victorian style. We really see it as a central hub of culture and history in Blacksburg."
You can vote for the Black House online through February.
