The first Virginia Tech football game against Boise State is just days away, but serious fans are making sure they're geared up properly now.    Some were at university bookstores for the unveiling of Nike's uniform jerseys that will be worn by the football team.

Fans can buy them too.

Tech is one of 10 college football programs chosen to wear Nike's Pro Combat jerseys.
News 7 caught up with a group of students who woke up early to make sure they got to buy one of those jerseys at 10:00 a.m. at the Volume II Bookstore.

That's the time Nike allowed stores to pull them out on the floor.
Every jersey was number 34 for running back Ryan Williams.

"They were doing the unveiling in New York.  So, we could not bring them out until they unveiled them at 10 o'clock.  So we had them behind lock and key in the back and then wheeled them out for everybody to see," said Leslie Simmers, the Retail Division Manager at Volume II Bookstore.

"They say it's a replica.  I'm excited to see them wear it Monday night.  Worth the wait?  definitively," said John Richardson, a Virginia Tech student.

The jerseys are 80 dollars but are 15 percent off Wednesday only.
The Virginia Tech bookstores ordered 432 of them and could sell out before the big game on Monday.

Tech will play Bosie State at FedEx Field near Washington D.C.
The Corps of Cadets logo will be in Virginia Tech end-zone.

That's why the Redskins are donating 800 tickets to the Corps to make sure they're there to watch their team.
