UPDATED:  House fire in Danville ruled arson

UPDATED:

Danville Fire investigators say someone intentionally set fire to a house on Arlington Avenue.

The fire started around 2:30 Monday morning.

No one lived there, but it still had some furniture and personal belongings.

Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious before *either of these fires, should call the  Danville Fire Marshal's Office.

The Danville Fire Marshal’s Office has determined the cause of the fire at 224 Arlington Place to be arson.

The fire was reported at 2:26 am on 4-30-12.

The house was vacant at the time of the fire but still contained some furniture and personal belongings.

The Fire Marshal’s Office is asking if anyone noticed anything that may have seemed unusual or anyone in the area at the time of the fire to please call the Danville Crime Stopper Line.

A home in Danville is badly damaged by a fire.

It started at 2:19 a.m. Monday at the home at 224 Arlington Place.

Fire fighters say the fire started in the back of the home.

No one was in the home when it went up in flames, and no one was hurt fighting it.

It took fire fighters almost two hours to completely put the fire out.

The Danville Fire Department and Fire Marshalls Office is investigating.
