JC Penney accepting donations for troops at its stores

JC Penney needs your help to support the troops.

During the month of July, customers can help support the men and women in uniform by rounding up their purchases at JC Penney to support the United Service Organization, commonly called the USO.

All of the proceeds from customers' donations will benefit USO programs and services for our troops and their families.

"We chose one charitable organization once a month, and with us celebrating Independence Day I think this is an excellent month to give back to our troops," store manager Denise Gordon said. "Most of us are from military families or knows someone in the military so this is just a way to give back to our community."


Along with the round-up donations raised by customers throughout the month of July, JC Penney will be making a $1 million donation to the USO.
