On the weekends when most of us are kicking back, one Roanoke County Couple is making music.  They travel to churches and other venues in many states. Now their talent has landed them a big break. They've signed a record deal.

Adam and Rebecca Reynolds are a team not only in marriage but also in music. Now they're on a mission to make music with a meaning.

They're called Freedom's Crossing. Now they are crossing into new territory with their music. They've signed a deal with Activate records and cut a CD in Nashville. It's due out later this month.  "We have a song going out to radio which we're really excited about," Adam Reynolds said.

Rebecca Reynolds is a Tennessee native who's been singing since she was three.  She traveled with her family singing Gospel music for years.  It was during a visit to the Roanoke Civic Center with her family group when she met her future husband, Adam Reynolds.

Her voice is strong and perhaps reminiscent of  Carrie Underwood.  "I've been told that." Rebecca Reynolds admits. "But it's hard for me to see cause I love her so much."

Adam Reynold's talent is not just on stage, but behind the scenes. The Roanoke County native has written nine out of ten songs on the couple's CD.  Rebecca also wrote one of the songs.  Adam Reynolds said his inpiration comes from God and the things he encounters in his everyday life.

One day at the mall food court, he took notice of a man wiping down tables.  "He just had this look on his face that just kind of got to me. I started looking at how other people looked at him," Adam Reynolds said. "It just stirred up something inside of  me and God just gave the words."

That encounter was the inspiration for the song There's No Difference about treating people the same.

Some of the words to the song: There is no difference in you and me. In God's eyes the heart is the only thing he sees, so never judge a book by its cover. Sometimes we need a sister or brother to hold our hand and understand.

The two live in the area and have a three year old daughter. They sing regularly at their church Harvest Ministries on Blue Ridge Boulevard in Botetourt County.

The duo hopes the new CD will help take their music and their message to as many people as possible.  "We want to share our songs and our ministry with as many people as we can all over the world."  Rebecca Reynolds said. "We're very excited about what God's doing."
