Roanoke store owner relies on shame to catch shoplifters

Shoplifters who are caught face a gamut of charges and fines. At one Roanoke store, they also face embarrassment.

A month ago, Heidi Bundy says this woman stole a 60-dollar jacket from her store, A Little Bit Hippy in Towers Shopping Center.  Bundy took a surveillance photo of the woman and passed it all over the mall and in front of her store.

Bundy says one her employees recognized the woman when she came back to the store a few weeks later and called police.

"If you're going to steal something without a care in the world, without even trying to work for it, then why be ashamed of letting everybody know that you can't seem to behave yourself," Heidi Bundy, the owner of A Little Bit Hippy.

Bundy says the price of the jacket didn't matter, it's the fact someone stole from her, the woman is charged with shoplifting.  Bundy will see her in court next month.
