Two Franklin County schools are back in class after going on a lockdown earlier this morning.
This was after a caller reported seeing a man with a gun on his shoulder around 8:45 a.m. on North Main Street in Rocky Mount.
The lockdown was lifted at Benjamin Franklin Middle School and the Gereau Center at 10:15 a.m.
Franklin County typically overreacts to a situation that is small and allows the big, ddangerous ones to continue. It is hunting season, we will see people with guns. this is not unusual. Where were these cops at when one of their own went on a murderous rampage? sitting around with their thumbs up their butts?
I wish there was a away to let us parents at home know about these things when it happens.....not after the fact! If something terrible does ever happen...I want to be able to get to my son and daughter! I'm sure the other parents feel the same!
