A Louisiana man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old Wythe County girl.
The Roanoke Times reports Kevin Lunsford was sentenced Monday in federal court in Abingdon for transporting a minor in interstate commerce for the purpose of engaging in illicit sexual conduct.
Prosecutors say the 27-year-old Lunsford met the girl on a social networking website in 2009. After corresponding with her for about a year, Lunsford took a bus to Wythe County and met the girl at her home without her parents' knowledge. The two then traveled back to his apartment in Shreveport, La.
