Lynchburg City Schools says it has shown progress in several areas under its new comprehensive plan.
LCS says it has shown positive progress in achievement, behavior, and culture.
“We have a plan, and the plan is working,” LCS Superintendent Scott Brabrand said. “Now to continue the positive progress, it’s critical that this community support the initiatives around Achievement, Behavior, Culture, Operations and Personnel that are imbedded in the proposed budget to the school board that was presented last week.”
According to LCS the new plan has shown:
-An increase in As and Bs, and a decrease in Ds and FS.
-A decrease in students with seven or more unexcused absences.
-A decrease in students with at least one short-term suspension.
-An increase in the number of volunteer applications.
