Lynchburg Police investigate overnight rape

Lynchburg police are trying to track down a rapist who attacked a woman just before 9:00 p.m. Monday. It happened in the 1300 block of Liggates Rd. A woman says a man came in through her front door and attacked her. After raping her, he walked out the back door and headed towards Saint Cloud Avenue. He hasn't been seen since. An ambulance took the victim to the hospital. Police say she has non-life threatening injuries.
