Two people charged in connection to a traffic chase and standoff that ended in Roanoke's Washington Park on Friday have been charged.
The incident started when police tried to pull over a car Friday, and the driver sped away.
The driver, 32-year-old Kyle Allen Catron, has been charged with eluding police and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon. After a three-hour standoff, Catron surrendered to police in Roanoke's Washington Park.
The passenger in the car, 22-year-old Jullian Martinez, has been charged with possession of a firearm as a convicted felon.

A man with a gun inside Washington Park surrendered to Roanoke Police after a three hour standoff.
Police say it began with a traffic stop. Officers tried to pull the man over but he sped away. A few minutes later he wrecked his car and walked into the park with a gun in his hand.
One witness say she was scared for her life and her sister when she saw the man.
"(He) ran all the way to Booker T. Washington pool, pointed the gun at two grown women and the two grown women told us to run away so me and my sister ran," says Nakesha Pierce, "We tried to hide and the dude got a gun to his head."
Roanoke Police shut down Washington Park around 5 p.m. Friday evening. About 30 officers surrounded the area as negotiators talked to the man.
Three hours later the man put the gun on the ground, then talked with police for about thirty minutes before he put in a squad car.
Roanoke Police say they don't believe the man fired any shots during the standoff.
Police are not releasing the man's name because right now he is not charged with any crime.
The man was taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital for a mental evaluation.
