Update:
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of shots being fired at the intersection of Pinewood Lane and Woodward Village Court, in Henry County.
The officers made contact with residents at 7 Woodward Village Court, at the intersection of Pinewood Lane and Woodward Village Court.
There was a man in the trailer who refused to come out and had a weapon.
Deputies at the scene secured the area and called in additional support.
The man surrendered to officers three hours late and was taken into custody.
He was identified as James Edward “Jim Ed” Greer, 47 year old male, of Fieldale, VA.
Greer was arrested on outstanding charges, not related to this incident.
Greer is in the Henry County Jail under no bond.

A 47 year old Bassett man is in custody after barricading himself in his home for several hours.
He was wanted for drug warrants.
Henry County Sheriff Lane Perry tells Your Hometown News Leader that deputies were in the Blackberry part of the county, around Pinewood Lane, on an unrelated call.
Deputies got word that the man was in the area and tried to arrest him.
He barricaded himself in his home for 2 to 3 hours before finally giving up to authorities.
