Police arrested Gregory Kittrell and have charged him with murder.

Kittrell turned himself into police at 3:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

A shooting late Saturday night has claimed the life of a Lynchburg man.

Police were called to the F.O.P. Lodge on Wiggington Rd. and found 21 year old Brian Anthony Patterson with several gunshot wounds.

He was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Police are searching for Gregory Lee Kittrell, Jr. in connection to the murder.

He is considered armed and dangerous.

On February 19, 2011 at approximately 11:32 p.m. members of the Lynchburg Police Department responded to F.O.P. lodge located at 221 Wiggington Rd. for a malicious wounding.

Upon arriving on the scene, officers located the victim, Brian Anthony Patterson, age 21, of Lynchburg.

Patterson was the victim of what appeared to be multiple gunshots wounds.

Patterson was transported to the Lynchburg General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

A suspect has been developed and arrest warrants have been obtained for Gregory Lee Kittrell Jr. 

Kittrell has not been arrested and detectives are actively pursuing his whereabouts.

Kittrell has been charged with: Murder, Malicious Wounding, and 2 counts of Use of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony
