Whether it was by road or air, travel was busy Sunday.
At the Roanoke Regional Airport, a steady stream of passengers made their way in and out.
Most of the flights were on time.
Even though traffic here in Roanoke was relatively light, some passengers were preparing themselves for their ultimate destination.
Typically, Roanoke Regional's busiest travel days are the Friday and Saturday before Thanksgiving because of the number of students from local colleges and universities.
According to travel experts- Sunday is one of the toughest travel days nationwide, so if you're flying check in online before you get to the airport and be sure to bring plenty of patience.
