On March 12th businesses and organizations, schools and colleges, families and individuals will practice taking cover from tornadoes by participating in the annual safety exercise.

On Tuesday, at 9:45 a.m. the National Weather Service will send a test tornado warning to NOAA Weather Radios.

These radios will sound a tone alert message, or flash to indicate a message, simulating what people will hear or see during an actual tornado warning.

The test message will be broadcast by many local radio and TV stations.
