The owners of the largest shopping center in Martinsville defaulted on their payment.
Liberty Fair Mall is going on the auction block by the end of the month.
A Roanoke lawyer representing the lender confirmed, Liberty Fair VA, LP failed to pay a more than $21 million.
Future bidders will be required to make a one million dollar payment before the auction.
Those who lose the bid will be get their money back.
