Magician buys partially collapsed Danville theater

It's a fix only a magician can make, from rubble to treasure. A theater in Danville that was condemned two months ago now has a new owner.

A magician from Maryland bought the North Theatre and is closing on the deal later this week.

Restoration has already started after the facade of an adjoining building collapsed.

Despite all the renovations still needed, the owner says the place is no short of magical. He expects to have shows monthly from illusionists, and concerts from local and national musicians.

The theater is set to open later this year.
