Press Release:

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Family Crimes Division continue to investigate the whereabouts of two missing Olney teenagers.  Today, detectives learned from Virginia State Police that the vehicle driven by the male teen, a black 1989 Jeep Wrangler with Maryland tags 967 2L6, was found abandoned at Rest Area 231 along southbound Route 81, approximately 100 miles north of Roanoke, in Augusta County, Virginia.  Detectives do not know what means of transportation the teens may now be using.

Nicholas (Cole) Balderson, age 17, of the 2300 block of Rose Branch Court in Brookeville, was last seen at his residence during the morning of Wednesday, January 12.  He is described as a white male, 5’10” tall, weighing 140 pounds, with green eyes, and shoulder-length brown hair.  A clothing description was not available.

Rachel Elizabeth Reilly, age 16, of the 18200 block of Wickham Drive in Olney, was last seen in the company of Balderson during the afternoon of January 12.  She is described as a white female, 5’5” tall, weighing 125 pounds, with hazel eyes, and long brown hair.  Her clothing description was also unknown.

Police and their families are concerned for their welfare due to their ages and the length of time that they have not been in contact with family members.

Anyone who may know the whereabouts of Cole Balderson or Rachel Reilly is asked to call the Montgomery County Police Family Crimes Division at 240-773-5400 or the police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000.
