The holiday season means big bucks for large retailers at the mall, but small businesses are cashing in too. Managers at Valley View Mall in Roanoke say there's been an increase in seasonal retailers leasing space during the holidays. While some opt for kiosks, others like the "B-skinny" Cafe chose a traditional space. Businesses of all types expand to the mall during the high traffic months of November and December because of the high visibility and heavy foot traffic.
Bill Hoover spoke to us about “B-Skinny Café”. “This is kinda like a vessel to go on and continue to expand other cafes across the United States and then as well as global,” he said.
