ROANOKE COUNTY, Va.—
One local museum honored mom in a special way today. The Science Museum of Western Virginia waived the cost of admission for moms. Leah Lessard appreciated the Mother's Day gift. “I work hard. I work a full-time job. I'm a single mom, so it's hard and it's nice to be appreciated on this day- I like it,” she said.
Museum employees want to remind the community they will open for business at their downtown location in April of next year. Its current location, at the Tanglewood Mall, is just temporary.
