Not in my neighborhood.  That's what some in Lynchburg are saying about a proposed doctor's office.

Officials with the Centra Medical Group want to move Lynchburg Internal Medicine to a new location.  The current building on Thomson Drive is small and physicians need more space.

A piece of land on Boonsboro Road, near the Lynchburg Expressway, was being considered as a new location for the internal medicine practice.  Centra is giving up on those plans, because of neighborhood opposition.

A request for rezoning, submitted to Lynchburg city officials, has been taken off the table by Centra leaders.

Plans to relocate the doctor's office are still moving forward, but a new location hasn't been found yet.  Lynchburg Internal Medicine will continue operating, as normal, until a new office is constructed.
