Neo-Nazi Bill White was back in Roanoke federal court Wednesday, months after fleeing to Mexico.

A judge sentenced him to 10 months in prison for violating his probation.

White apologized in court, saying he was sorry for leaving the country without permission.

After being held in solitary confinement in a federal prison, White said he had trouble adjusting to society.
"I tried to start my life over," White told the judge, " and I went about it in the wrong way."

White will get credit for three months he has served in jail, but he'll be back in federal court next month for re-sentencing on an earlier charge. He was days away from that hearing when he disappeared.

Neo-Nazi Bill White will spend the next 10 months in prison.

White learned his sentence Wednesday morning in federal court in Roanoke.

He was arrested in Mexico back in June on a probation violation.

U.S. Marshals were looking for him in May after he left his home in Lynchburg without letting his probation officer know.

White was on probation after serving a jail sentence for intimidating and threatening several people over the internet and through the mail.
