My Grt.-Grandaughter was one of the school children at the Martinsville Speedway on 3-8,my Son said you all were there.I hoped for a glimpse of my Grt.-Grandaughter,but all I mostly saw were littli legs walking with a hanfull of the kids on the tape,I was very dissappointed in the coverage.I know there a lot of children there but a glimpse of my Grt.-grandaughter would have been so nice,I'm sure I'm not the only relative of a child there that is dissappointed. If you were not going to show the precious children walking the track, then what was the point?I am a avid wdbj 7 veiwer but was not happy with this coverage.Thank-you for letting me voice my opion.

I am so proud and glad to see the students at Giles High School standing up for what they believe in, and for their own constitutional rights! I'm so tired of people looking for something to be offended about. For years, we have put up with everyone else's religious beliefs....wearing religious jewelry, religious tee-shirts, etc. If these people who oppose the placement of the Ten Commandments want seperation of church and state and religious equality, then they need to remove everyone else's jewelry, etc. with religious overtones, such as the Star of David, patron Saint necklaces, the rosary, the Muslim Star and Cresent, inverted pentagram, the athiest' Darwin Fish or the baphomet, just to name a few. Our soldiers have fought for our freedoms, including religion, since the birth of our nation. We have been tolerant of everyone else's beliefs, and now it is time for us to stand up for OUR rights and beliefs! Thank you, students at Giles, for standing up in support of your (and my) beliefs! GOD bless America!

I am greatly disturbed by some of the comments that Giles County School students made about the first amendment during a recent rally. One stated that the law or government doesn't tell them that they can't have the 10 commandments in school. In fact, the first amendment secures five fundamental freedoms: religion, speech, assemble, petition the government and press. The United States Constitution is the Supreme Law of the Land. Where were the children during their Civics class?

I think that the Ten Commandments need to be back into the schools. The parents, grand parents, and friends are going to Giles High School on Thursday at 10.a.m. to join in on a rally again.

Oh My Gosh, the gas prices have gone thru the roof over night. They have jumped 20 cents a gallon since yesterday. Who can afford to pay close to 4 dollars a gallon then by groceries, that will also raise, then pay your power bill that will also go up. Want to stimulate the economy? Put more money in peoples pockets by putting a cap on gas prices. People are having a hard enough time trying to make ends meet.

I don't think this is an issue that has been brought up on the news yet... There is a lot of sickness going around in the schools lately.. Why aren't they doing anything about it? These children are doing nothing but passing it back and forth...
