Power has been restored for thousands, but plenty of those people still don't have air conditioning.

That's keeping a/c repair businesses quite busy.

When Andy Love shows up for a service call these day, he's welcomed with open arms!

Love is a service technician with Cundiff Heating and Air conditioning.

He's here to work on David Burris' air conditioning unit.
And within a matter of minutes, the A/C kicked on.

"We're having a lot of capacitors failures and connectors and circuit boards and stuff of that nature from the surges when the power comes back on or when it was flickering when it was going out," said Love.

Love said most of the time the a/c units and heat pumps can be fixed within an hour or so.

Less than 10% of the calls for service need a whole, new unit.

That can cost thousands of dollars.
