A North Carolina woman has been charged with impersonating a nurse at the Danville Regional Medical Center.
22-year-old Lendi Annette Williamson of Pelham, N.C., has been charged with trespassing, impersonating medical services personnel, and identity theft.
According to the Danville Police Department, officers got a report of a woman who they thought was pretending to be a nurse around 3:20 a.m. Monday. Williamson allegedly told hospital staff that she was a traveling nurse who had been sent to Danville Regional Medical Center to help out.
Staff at the hospital was not able to verify Williamson’s claims or certificates, according to investigators.
She was taken to the Danville City Jail and released on a $1,500 secured bond.
