Occupy Roanoke will hold demonstration Saturday

The anger on Wall Street is spreading this way.

Now a local group's plans to protest are becoming clearer.

The group "Occupy Roanoke (Va.)" held a meeting this afternoon.

The group says it's taking to the streets to put an end to the corruption of big business and corporate greed in our country.

There have been movements in other cities throughout the country.

At the Roanoke meeting, they determined they'll hold a protest on Saturday.

The get-together will start at sunrise and be held at Elmwood Park.

“We're just wanting to get the word out that we are actively in Roanoke and we are wanting people to participate in the effort,” said Rafael Gonzalez of Occupy Roanoke.

About 75 people attended Sunday's meeting.

The group made also took a collection to send to the protesters in New York City.
