It may be eight months away, but Blacksburg's looking for a winner.
We're talking about the deadline for the 2013 "Steppin' Out" T-shirt design contest.
"Steppin' Out" will be held August 2nd and 3rd of next year, but first, there has to be a T-shirt design selected as the official T-shirt. The designer wins $500!
Profits from the T-shirt sales will fund "Steppin' Out" and will help support a variety of downtown projects, and the contest is open to everyone.
"You can be a student, a high schooler, a middle schooler, you can be in elementary school, any age. A retired person. We've had designs from local artists before. Last years design was from a Virginia Tech student. So just anyone is eligible to enter," explained Laureen Blakemore of Downtown Blacksburg, Inc.
All T-Shirt designs must be submitted no later than Thursday, December 14th. Click here for more information.
