GALAX, Va.—
Organizers of the "Largest Mandolin Ensemble" in Galax say they set a world record Tuesday.
The event was being held at the Galax Fiddler's Convention in Galax.
Officials say they had enough people playing the mandolin at once to break the current world record of 383 mandolin players set in Germany in July 2005.
The number of mandolin players and the world record for Tuesday's event still has to be confirmed by the Guinness Book of World Records.
