A person is flown to the hospital after a head-on crash in Giles County earlier this evening.
It happened just before 6:00pm, on Route 460 in the Pembroke area.
Virginia State Police tell WDBJ7 a person lost control of their Hummer and crossed over a median and into an oncoming car.
The driver of the other car was air-lifted to the hospital, but we're told she is alert and suffered broken bones and bruises.

VDOT is now reporting that all lanes have re-opened and normal traffic operations have resumed.

Westbound lanes of traffic on Route 460 are closed because of an accident in the Pembroke area.
A helicopter is landing on the road to airlift someone out.
State Police say they do expect the road to re-open shortly.
