Don't be surprised if you see some realistic looking mannequins in downtown Roanoke on Friday night.

That's because they're not mannequins.

The One Block East Gallery is hosting an event called "Framed."

It's an exhibit of living art.

In other words real people will be holding different pieces of art.

They basically become art themselves.

"We came up this idea because not only is it art on canvas with oil and watercolors and the photography and different types of art, we wanted something that actually moved within the frame,” owner Debbie Stump said. “So we look at the fact these models are going to be living works of art.”

A number of other downtown businesses are taking part in the "Framed" event as well.
