PHOTOS: Appalachian Trail Family Day
Saturday's overcast made for beautiful hiking weather. Families in 14 states along the fabled Appalachian Trail were encouraged to hit the trail for the 2nd annual Family Trail Day. In our region the Roanoke Appalachian Trail Club and the Kids in the Valley, Adventuring led a tip up the Hay Rock section of the trail outside Daleville in Botetourt County.
