PHOTOS: Home and Away Food Drive
WDBJ7 teamed up with Kroger and Feeding America Southwest Virginia for a food drive.
As of 4:00 p.m. Saturday, donors had filled 2 1/2 semi-trailers full of non-perishable food items. It will be weighed and sorted next week at Feeding America Southwest Virginia, and then once the Red Cross gives the go ahead, it will head to areas stricken by Hurricane Sandy in the northeast.
