ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, Va.—
A pilot is dead after his plane crashed in Virginia.
State Police say the plane crashed Sunday morning in between Rockingham and Augusta Counties in the George Washington National Forest.
The small plane was flying from Wilmington, North Carolina to Pittsburgh.
The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are trying to figure out what happened.
