Roanoke County police are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing Farmville man whose car was found in the Glenvar area Friday.
70-year-old William Hairston has been missing from the Farmville area since Tuesday after he never returned home from the pharmacy. Hairston's family says he suffers from memory loss and gets confused easily.
Hairston’s car, a 1993 maroon Pontiac, was found on a private road near Dow Hollow Road in the Glenvar part of Roanoke County. His eyeglasses were found on the ground near his car.
Investigators believe Hairston has been in the Glenvar area since Wednesday because a man fitting his description was seen Wednesday. Roanoke County police also got another tip about a man matching Hairston’s description.
If you see Hairston, you are asked to call 911 immediately.
