They finally found her around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday in a heavily wooded area about a mile from her home.

She'd been outside in the drizzle and temperatures in the 40s for 17 hours.

The only shelter she had was a tree stand used for deer hunting.

Rescuers took Franklin to a Lynchburg hospital to get checked out.

Deputies say she'll be just fine.
