DANVILLE, Va.—
A power outage in Danville has been fixed. Power was restored just before 9:00 a.m.

About 1,200 homes and businesses are without power in Danville after a substation failed.
At 8:45 a.m., a city spokesman said crews hope to have power restored in another two to three hours. In the meantime, a warming shelter has been opened at the Salvation Army Center on Henry Street.
