Prince William County police say an officer has died after his motorcycle struck a minivan in Bristow.
The crash occurred around 2 p.m. Monday. Police say 35-year-old Officer Chris Yung was on his way to the scene of another accident and was heading south on Nokesville Road when his motorcycle struck the minivan, which was making a left turn into a shopping center. Yung was taken to a hospital, where he died. No one else was injured.
Officer Jonathan Perok, a police spokesman, says the details of the crash remain under investigation.
Yung was a 7-year veteran of the department and worked for the traffic unit.
