Friday, we told you the "Be A Santa For A Senior" program was short on gifts. Now, empty rooms are filling up with gifts.
Volunteers picked up gifts all over the Roanoke Valley this weekend and delivered them to the distribution center at Towers Mall in Roanoke.
Jerry Smith dropped some of the gifts off from the collection sites Monday. He took pride in doing this because "just making somebody happy for Christmas you know. Because most of the time they don't have family and stuff to help them out, so we're here to do that.
The program still needs donations. Twenty percent of the gifts still haven't been returned.
If you would like to Be a Santa to a senior stop by Towers in the next day lower level to pick up a tag to donate to a senior.
