The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office is investigating a report of an attempted abduction of an 8-year-old child.
The incident happened Sunday afternoon in the Highland Road/Ruebush Road part of Pulaski County. That's in the Dublin area.
An 8-year-old boy told police that he was playing in the yard when a small green car pulled up and ordered the child to get into the vehicle. The boy refused to get in, and ran toward his home screaming. The child told police the man driving the car had on a ski mask and a red ball cap.
The man never got out of the vehicle, and when the child ran away, the man sped off.
Another adult saw the vehicle driving away at a high rate of speed. That witness told police that the car was a green Dodge Neon that was missing a hubcap on the front driver's side. The witness told police that the suspect was wearing a ski mask with eye and mouth holes and a red hat.
The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office is contacting other agencies to see if there have been other similar incidents.
