It's simple for us to tell you a tornado hit Pulaski and Draper. But to see it from the air gives you a whole new perspective. I'm one of those who like to see the big picture first, then narrow things down to the details. We've gotten so many photos into the NEWS7 Newsroom, I wanted to take advantage of the ones that gave a street name in the description. For future reference, it's always great to give a street name and community name along with the photographer's name when submitting a photo.

Using GPS Lat/Lon from the National Weather Service storm survey, I've pinpointed the touchdown and lifting of each tornado. The EF2 (winds 125mph) will begin at the top-left of the map. The EF1 (winds 105-110mph) begins near where the EF2 lifted, right along Route 11.

In making the map, a few things hit me right away. What if this tornado had been a few hundred yards more to the north? It would have gone right through the Town of Pulaski, impacting so many more hundreds of people.

The second tornado (EF1 actually went up and then back down Draper Mountain, then crossed Interstate 81. Can you imagine how lucky those people are that were traveling on the Interstate? Thankfully, the drivers stopped their cars and waited until the storm crossed the road.

Thanks again to our many viewers who send in such compelling photos from Pulaski and Draper.
