Time may have run out for a Franklin County couple trying to reclaim two dogs that were shot last month.
Troy and Michelle Breeden had to sign them over to the Humane Society because they could not afford the medical bills.Now, the adoption process is underway and the Breeden’s sa they never had a chance to get the dogs back.
The staff members at the Humane Society disagree saying the Breeden’s did noyt attempt to adopt the dogs back.
The Breeden's say they're not sure exactly how they'll proceed from here but they are considering getting an attorney involved.
Meanwhile, the man who admitted to shooting the two puppies could eventually be held liable for the 2-thousand dollars worth of medical expenses.
