A badly injured rottweiler puppy gets a second chance at life thanks to members of a Blacksburg gym and the dog's new family.

Macy Mae was hit by a car last week.
She has multiple hip fractures and might not be alive if it wern't for Andy and Vicky Wilburn and other folks at The Weight Club.
The Wilburns were at the gym when they got a call from the dog's original owners saying they were going to put the dog down.
They stepped in, taking the dog to the Vet School at Virginia Tech.
The Wilburns, along with the manager of the gym and a trainer, fronted the two thousand dollars for surgery.
Now, other gym members are pitching in.

"I think she's going to be a really happy dog, and I think she's going to affect a lot of people.  I really do.  She's just one in a million," said Wilburn.

Macy's on the road to recovery.
She can only walk ten minutes at a time, but she's a big part of the Wilburn family now.
